And then there was a base!
That's it folks. The actual army is finished! The basing proceeded so quickly time almost went backwards, and the few remaining dudes are finally completed. I have to say the army came out pretty good. I still need to go back and fix up some damage that occurred to a couple of the models, but that is all touch up stuff.

Play-Testing:
This army has a pretty solid record, it currently stands at 13-6-4, which isn't too bad at all. My biggest problems remain, leadership and heavy magic armies. The army recently went 3-0 at the last tournament, and tied two Khorne armies including one that had a Bloodthirster (he mightily chased around a chariot and a unit of Marauder Horsemen). The more I use them, the more I absolutely love Screamers. I originally incorporated them to protect my daemon prince, but I don't have a daemon prince any more, just an exalted daemon, so I have started to let them loose recently, and am very pleased with the results. I still can't figure out how best to engage Vampires or Tomb Kings (their magic just pisses me off), and I think I have lost every game against them I have played.

Painting:
Well all I have left to do is 3 messengers, and my display base. Painting the cobblestones seemed like such a monumental task, but in reality it went pretty quick. While I still have a lot more to do once I finish building the base, the technique I used was pretty good. A bit of trial and error, and now I just use a dark grey mix (50/50 black and codex grey) as a basecoat over each stone, a small highlight with codex grey and a even smaller highlight of fortress grey. I can paint large swathes pretty quickly and based on how they look on the chariots, I like the results.

The Display Base
At this stage it currently is nothing but a list of bitz on a piece of paper, and nine sheets of printer paper, taped together to form a rough blueprint. But with three weeks to go, I am looking pretty good. Hope you enjoy the pics of the finished army.
