The Battle of Beards
Fantasy Mega Battle Championships, Game 1

Turn 5:
Gary: The game was really over. I moved two units of Dwarves on the right flank to within
charge range of the Chaos Dwarves but I needed another turn or two to rout what was left of
Nidals force, but time had run out. What was left of our center force was in full retreat. On
the left flank, after a large battle, Herb's force was finally surrounded and all hope of
extracting them safely was running out.

Herb: We were finally stuck in on the left, and of course I promptly got the hammerers
surrounded. The cowardly chaos dwarfs refused to attack from the front, so the Dwarf King was
unable to smite them so righteously. They didn't break due to being stubborn, and on our next
turn we were sure to unleash a world of pain, as the slayers were set to charge also. The game
was over though. We didn't do to bad for making so many mistakes. I look forward to throwing
down again. The flame cannon on the right killed 14 sneaky gits with one shot. Without a doubt
there will be more flame cannons next time.

Matt: With the Dwarven center broken, we picked up the pieces to finish off what was
left. The Sneaky Gitz charged into a remaining flame cannon, and the Longbeards fell before the
massed attacks of CD characters and Black Orks. The Miners failed a panic check and ran off
board when charged in the front and rear. The combat on the right flank finally happened, with
the Bull Taurus, Oglah Khan, and the Blunderbusses charging the Hammerers from all sides but the
front (where the Dwarven general with his 6 str 6 attacks was hung out). We won the combat by a
bunch, but Herb promptly made his stubborn roll, and with that, the game came to a close.
