Zhatan the Black and Blue and Bulwaark I needed something impressive as a centerpiece for the army, and for me that has to be the general. Zhatan is accompanied by Bulwaark the Snotling Battle Standard Bearer to his left. He counts as a Chaos Dwarf hero, despite his diminutive stature. When Zhatan is ranked up with his unit, the model fully counts as a Hero with the Black Gem of Gnar, Battle Standard, and two dwarves with heavy armor and shield. The Black Gem is the perfect foil for powerful characters, as even holding them up for 1 turn gives me the chance to get a flank charge in, winning through combat resolution. |

Astragoth In 5th edition he was a monster of a special character, but now he's delegated to scroll caddy. The back banners count as dispel scrolls, and are removable to keep track of what he's used. |

Gorblitz Backstabber Cousin of Gorduz, Gorblitz leads an armored unit of Hobgoblins. His 3 great weapon attacks make the otherwise mediocre Hobbos a threat in combat. |

Hthaark the Unstoppable He's not part of my 2000 point list, but in 2150 games he replaces Gorblitz and adds some chariot killing power with his 5 Str7 great weapon attacks. The old Tenderizer model (acting as his great weapon) is functional; when you roll it along, the hammers actually move up and down. Hthaark usually gets a 1+ save through magic armor, and provides some much needed killing power that my list otherwise lacks. |
